Crime updates 26/04/2024 - 01/05/2024

Good evening

Acquisitive crime still remains very low for the above date with 1 Theft of motor vehicle being reported. As we enter into the month of May with two bank holidays imminent this is a great opportunity to get away for a short break, if this is the case please ensure all is locked and secure and if you do have a house alarm please ensure it is set.

Very often residents ask if a Marked police car could patrol around the neighbourhood to give residents the re-assurance that police are in the area. The local neighbourhood officers have been conducting regular patrols around the location to try to give that visible presence and re-assurance as often as possible .

Once again the neighbourhood team would like to thank the residents, and NHW of Parkhall for the help and support given to officers.

Street light out, Pot hole requiring attention Please consider using Fix my street App. Any reports will go direct to Walsall Council to try to action.

Would you like to get involved with Street Watch?

Street Watch is a community-led project. It’s made up of groups of volunteers who are at least 18 years old. The groups go out and patrol their area. The patrols help to stop crime and anti-social behaviour. They also help people in the area get to know each other. As a Street Watch member, you'll patrol your local area alongside one of your neighbours for at least two hours every month, at times which suit you.

You'll talk to people you meet and encourage them to take an active interest in keeping your area safe. So, your neighbours know what you're there for, you wear a high-visibility Street Watch jacket.

You'll be supported by:

  • the local Street Watch coordinator
  • your local police
  • If you would like to know more about Street Watch or any of our other community safety schemes Click here

    Crime Prevention Advice

As you start to enjoy the lighter and warmer nights let's not forget about keeping your home and valuables safe and secure. Criminals will take advantage of open windows and propped open doors, even if it’s the back door.

You can now download our Home Security Survey. You can use this simple guide to identify weaknesses in your own home security and do something about it by following the advice.
