Here is your quick round up from me and the rest of the Sherbourne neighbourhood policing team.

Dear Resident,
Here is your quick round up from me and the rest of the Sherbourne neighbourhood policing team.

What’s been happening?

We have recovered a stolen vehicle yesterday (Wednesday) after a report came in some suspicious activity around a vehicle. Officers attended and upon getting there the vehicle had been left parked at the side of the road with the engine still running. Officers were able to secure the vehicle before getting it recovered by our recovery agent. The vehicle had been stolen a couple of days before from around half a mile from where it was found. A good result.

Officers were flagged down by a member of the public to a report of a possible burglary that had just occurred. The offenders were still in the area so the officers condcuted an area search. Officers were able to located the 2 possible offenders. After speaking to the member of the public and checking the property it was quickly ascertained that a burglary had not taken place however the female was searched and found to be in possession of a prohibited weapon so she was arrested.

Two of our PCSOs were able to reunite an elderly female with her family after she was found wandering the streets. The female who was in a confused state and suffering from dementia so was unable to provide any detail including her full name or address. The PCSOs were able to reassure the female and converse with her leading to them gathering enough information to locate the females address and make sure she got home safe to her family.
