Good Afternoon Resident
I hope you had a great week and good weekend too. This week West Midlands Police have been conducting Operation Sceptre across the force who are intensifying efforts to reduce knife crime. The week-long operation is to educate and raiser wider awareness of knife crime across the West Midlands.
Here is an update on local crimes over the last few days.
Lyndon 14/11/23 there was a car stolen on Kimberly Road, the offender stole the parked locked unattended Mercedes sliver E220 D auto by unknown means and made off with the car.
15/11/2023 there was attempted burglary on Summerfield Road, the offender grained entry by climbing over the fence between the neighbours and target house. They walked up the back garden of the targets house to the metal French doors and tried to open the back doors to no avail. Their were no damage to door handles and no entry was gained.
17/11/23 there was attempted burglary on Richmond Road, the offender entered home owner back garden by unknown means. The offender has removed the beading from the UVPC window frame and removed the double-glazed pane of glass. No entry was gained as the home owner disturbed the offender and nothing was stolen.
Elmdon 14/11/2023 there was burglary on Mayswood road, the offender forced the Yale lock on the garage door and removed the building materials from the premises. The offended returned several hours later and removed further materials and made good on there escape.
17/11/2023 there was attempted theft of a White Ford Transit Van on Lode Lane, the offender approached the Van which has been locked and attempted to open the sidling door using a small saw to cut the metal and pull to open the sidling door before being disturbed and making good on there escape. The vehicle wasn’t taken.
Olton 15/11/2023 there was attempted burglary on Beechwood Park Road, the offender wearing a balaclava has climbed over the rear fence of the home owner garden and has walked across the back garden to the home owner back doors. The offender has tried the door handle on the back doors then the offender has tried the kitchen door handled before being disturbed by the Ring Doorbell being activating and the offender has made good on their escape and nothing was taken.
17/11/2023 there was attempted burglary on Beechwood Park Road, the offender gained entry to the property by lock burning the rear kitchen door. On entry to the property the alarm has triggered by movement in the kitchen where the offender has made good on their escape.
Silhill 14/11/2023 there was a car stolen on Cornyx Lane, the offender has approached the locked secure unattended Nissan Juke and has gained entry by unknown means and has taken the car and made good on there escape.
15/112023 there was a car stolen on Wharf lane, the offender has approached the locked secured unattended black Mercedes X350 4 Matic and has taken the car by unknown means and made good on their escape.
18/11/2023 there was a car stolen on Rowood Drive, the offender by unknown means has taken the locked secured unattended White Kia Sportage and has made good on their escape.
In the good News
Officers this week have helped arrest and restrain a male on Wagon Lane who was wanted for a series of robberies offences.
Also, this week officers have also arrested a prolific shoplifter who had stolen over £300 worth of goods.
This week officers have helped locate a high-risk missing person and have prevented them from harm.
Lastly officers have attended a violent domestic incident and have safeguarded the victim.
