End of Six

Dear Members,

Here’s a quick round up from the Harborne neighbourhood policing team.

What’s been happening

Quinton Police Station re-opened. Officers from the Edgbaston constituency are now based in the station on Quinton Road West. Please note, it does not have a front office / is not open to the public. Your nearest front office is Bournville Lane Police Station.

Harborne PCs have been tasked with dealing with more high risk and immediate threat logs in support of their Response colleagues. They have also been on training courses relating to domestic abuse and a more modern approach to understanding victims.

Harborne PCSOs are out on patrols in our key areas, reducing crime, tackling anti-social behaviour and supporting PCs in their role. One of our PCSOs has now left the team to undergo a new challenge of becoming a PC. We wish them well.

A big thank you to

Street Watch groups and our other partners agencies for supporting us with Hi-Vis patrols offering reassurance and deterring anti-social behaviour.

Look out for

We are still receiving reports of persons knocking on doors attempting to gain money through deception. Usually giving a tale of woe of sick family members and needing money. Please do not give them any money. They have the tendency to target the more vulnerable in our community. We would appreciate any CCTV or doorbell camera footage to assist in apprehending the individuals. Please report this to the Police.
