Dear Resident,
Here’s a quick round up from me and the rest of the Dudley North Neighbourhood Policing Team.
What’s been happening:
• Lessons in the Library This afternoon (Tuesday 10th) there was a Knife Awareness and Online Safety lesson at Sedgley Library for some keen students. They were a wonderful group with many good answers to some of the tougher topics - a very well done to them all!
• Look out for… At Sedgley Library we will be hosting a Police Surgery on Monday 16th September from 11.00 to 12.00.
There is a second Police Surgery later in September as well at Sedgley Library! If you cannot make the first one, please come down and see us on Thursday 26th September from 15.00 - 16.00.
• Crime Prevention Many burglars employ the snap-lock method to gain entry in houses. In order to protect yourself from this, please consider anti-snap locks to be fitted to all outside doors. To ensure you have the best lock, look for three stars engraved onto the lock itself, along with the Kitemark stamped on it. The Kitemark is in the shape of a heart with lines through it. If you're unsure about the mark, feel free to Google "Kitemark Lock" for images.
When reporting a crime, does it feel like the situation could get heated or violent very soon? Is someone in immediate danger? Do you need support right away? If so, please call 999 now.
If you’ve witnessed or been the victim of crime that isn't an emergency, please report it to us by calling 101 or using our online form that can be found HERE.
Many thanks!
