Acocks green NHT update

Dear Members,

Here is a quick round up from the Acocks Green Neighbourhood Team:

  • We have identified and subsequently arrested and interviewed a male in relation to Racist Graffiti in Douglas Road, the case is still ongoing but we are confident in bringing the suspect to justice.

  • We have completed lots of stop searches in relation to the use of NOS, we have diverted several people to our drug intervention programme in an effort to change the direction they are heading in.

  • We have intervened in numerous incidents of violence in the village which could have ended differently had officers not been present.

  • We have been extremely busy answering calls from the public where these have seen an increase, officers have been asked to assist in managing this demand and ensuring members of the public receive the best response possible.

  •

    Look out for

  • There is an increase in Theft of Motor vehicles, should you see anything suspicious then please call 101/999 and report it.

  • There is currently a Knife amnesty on however there does appear to be an increase in the number of calls relating to knifes and robberies, we will do as much as we can to tackle this however should you see anyone with a knife get to a safe place and call Police 101/999.

  •

    Next week

  • We will be keeping you updated with what is happening at the end of every set of our shifts this is every 9 days. Should anything be urgent or of interest then we will be sending out further messaging.
