Message from St Matts Team 3

Dear Members,

Here’s a quick round up from me and the rest of the St Matthews neighbourhood policing team that’s happened the last few weeks.

What’s been happening

  • Neighbourhood officers from our St Matts team joined officers from our Priority Crime Team, British Transport Police, Special Constables and representatives from Safer Travel to take part in a joint operation in Walsall Town Centre where we used a mobile knife arch. This led to five people’s arrests (including a male who was wanted for possessing a knife in Walsall Town Centre.)
  • Team 2 completed a Speedwatch with our community volunteers on Birmingham Road, Walsall.
  • Going back to school can be a worrying time for parents so we’ve put together some tips and advice to keep your kids safe. Please click here for more.
  • PCSO’s and PC’s on all Teams have conducted high-visibility patrols in hotspot areas in Walsall Town Centre to deter any anti-social behaviour.
  • A message from the team:

If you know of any community-based groups in the St Matthew’s area, who you are involved with, and you think that they would benefit from some involvement from their local neighbourhood policing team, get in touch with us.  See below.

Please feel free to share these messages to those not signed up to WMnow, and then ask them why they are not signed up to WMnow. Anyone can sign up for free at: www.wmnow.co.uk  Please spread the word.

    Keeping in touch with us:

The teams are out and about in your community, please stop to say hello to us.

A thank you from the team:

For those people who we have spoken with and have received intelligence from across the St Matthews patch. We are always happy to engage in conversation and listen to issues and concerns.
