Good News:

On Saturday 12th October we detained a male taxi driver on Dorsington Road, Olton after being spotted by our hard-working PCSO’s. We have had multiple reports of drug dealing taking place in this location with this taxi being one of the culprits. The male and his vehicle were searched and a quantity of cannabis was seized. We are now working with the council to get this driver’s taxi license revoked in order to make our roads safer.

On Monday 14th October we held a beat surgery at Hobs Moat Library which was successful. Several residents spoke with us and were given crime prevention advice.

On Wednesday 23rd October we will be bringing our mobile police station out to Hobs Meadow pub. It will be parked on the car park and our team will be there. Another opportunity for the community to come to us for any advice or to report any concerns in your area. We will be there 11am-12pm.

Crime Prevention:

Please consider anti-snap locks to all outside doors. Look for at least 3 stars and the Kitemark when purchasing them.

Tamper proof screws for number plates are a good idea to protect number plates from being stolen.

Please consider a good steering lock for your vehicles, and check that your vehicle is locked before you walk away from it and don’t leave anything valuable inside.

If you use a bike to get out and about think about the lock that you secure it with. Please consider a good quality lock for your bike. A D lock is one such type of lock. Simple chains can be cut through in seconds.
