Hello,

We have investigated a report of an attempted child abduction close to Balsall Common Primary School shortly after 4pm on Wednesday where a girl was approached by a man and a woman and spoken to. However, following enquiries the man and woman came forward and we have now established this to be a genuine misunderstanding. We have been liaising closely with the school with regards to this matter and they have informed parents with the latest information. We have officers in the area to offer extra reassurance to the community.

We understand reported incidents of this nature can cause concern but we can assure the community on this occasion it was a misunderstanding which has now been resolved.
