Your Weekly Update

Weekly Update from your local Bablake NPT

Dear Members

Here’s your weekly update from myself and the rest of the team.

What’s Been Happening

. Burglaries

There has been one report of a burglary this week. This happened on Thompsons Road on 15/10/24.

. Vehicle Crime

There have been six reports of vehicles being broken into across the ward. (Please don’t leave items on display, it’s temptation for the offenders.)

These have happened on Halford lane, two at the Royal Court Hotel and one on Barnfield Ave. The offenders were disturbed by the owner after he heard a car alarm going off on Barnfield Ave. Unfortunately, they had made off in a vehicle before officers arrived.

Two vehicles have been stolen from Birmingham Road and Flynt Ave. On Flynt Ave, the vehicle was left locked and secured but the offenders have managed to gain access.

If you have keyless entry vehicles, please store your keys in an RFID pouch, this prevents the signal being picked up and blocked.

. In other News

The team have been busy again this week.

Once again, we have recovered several stolen vehicles in the area. These had been stolen from other areas and left at different locations.

Also, a prolific shoplifter has been arrested who was continually stealing from a local business. Charged with 17 offences!!!

Get involved.
Streetwatch is a community patrol initiative that helps you make a difference where you live. Street watch gives you and your community an opportunity to keep your area safe, including just walking round your neighbourhood, which can really help. Local police keep in regular contact with street watch members to share information and work in partnership with you.
If you are interested in taking part in a Streetwatch within the Bablake area you can contact the Holbrook, Radford, Sherbourne & Bablake team on holbrookandradford@westmidlands.police.uk
