Street Watch

Hello Resident

Are you an employer that wants to help us improve the High Street? Are you happy for your staff to give some time up to walk around the area?

They could either do this before or after work, or even during work.

The  employees who are given time to participate in this activity during their employers time, just need to make their employers aware that they are undertaking this activity.

Their employers in turn would need to just make their insurance people know this is happening.

StreetWatch is really simple, it is about going for a walk with your neighbours/friends/colleagues etc, getting to know the people in the area and building up a sense of community spirit.

We ask for a minimum of 2 hours a month but you can do more if you like.

The whole point of StreetWatch is about being that visible presence to DETER crime and anti-social behaviour, NOT deal with it, that's our job. If you see something that needs to be dealt with you would call us.

There is training provided and you will be covered by insurance .

By working together as a community and actively looking after our area, we can create a better and safer place to live. Your involvement is crucial to help us make the area a safer place.

For more information please see the attached StreetWatch leaflet.
