Stoke & Wyken Neighbourhood Team

Dear Residents and Local Businesses,

Here is your weekly update from your local neighbourhood Policing Team, to let you know some of what we've been busy dealing with:

PATROLS

Officers have been patrolling parks and green spaces this week in regards to Operation Sceptre - a national police-led operation of intensified action to end knife crime -

Please follow our Twitter/X as we have regular updates on this platform

Stoke & Wyken Police (@StokeWykenWMP) / X

Our team have also been patrolling the Warwickshire Retail Park and have signed up a number of businesses to the Warwickshire Retail Business Watch group on WMNow.

ARRESTS

Officers from our team have arrested one person this week for harassment.

LOOK OUT FOR

Overnight temperatures this coming week may dip below freezing, which means you may have to allow extra time to defrost your vehicle.

Thieves are looking for unattended vehicles with keys in the ignition, please stay with your vehicle whilst your windscreen defrosts.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Our last PACT meeting which was being held at the Wyken Community Centre on Westmorland Road unfortunately had to be cancelled due to various commitments, however we will be arranging another one in due course.

Please keep an eye on our Twitter/X and these emails where we will be advertising these events.

If you have information about people committing crime that you want to tell us about, you can contact us on the non-emergency telephone number 101 or by visiting us online at Home | West Midlands Police (west-midlands.police.uk) where you will find access to the LIVE CHAT facility. Alternatively you can contact the CRIMESTOPPERS charity anonymously by calling 0800 555 111. This is a free phone number. CRIMESTOPPERS can also be contacted online here: Independent UK charity taking crime information anonymously | Crimestoppers (crimestoppers-uk.org)

Please do not report crime via WMnow because it is not always monitored.

Kind Regards,

The Stoke & Wyken Neighbourhood Policing Team
