Dear Resident,
Here’s a quick round up from me and the rest of the Dudley North Neighbourhood Policing Team.
What’s been happening:
• Sedgley Hall Farm Park Litter Pick This past Sunday our PCSO’s were down helping the wonderful volunteers from SHaPE (Sedgley Hall Park Environment Group) where we picked litter alongside the volunteers and filled several bags, found a spare car tyre, and discovered enough parts to make a full bicycle. Our PCSO's keenly await the next litter-picking event in the New Year! • Junior PCSO Programme at Schools We have several Junior Police Community Support Officer programmes in the works, with some currently taking place. The programme has a total of six sessions given on a weekly basis from our local PCSO team. During the programme students will learn about the police and emergency services, as well as the phonetic alphabet, identifying fingerprints and much more! The programme finishes with a graduation ceremony, complete with certificate and goodies, as well as a final task chosen by the school – which is often either litter-picking or issuing warning tickets to people parked in dangerous places. Check with the local school if there is a Junior PCSO programme coming up! • Upper Gornal and Woodsetton Police Surgery There will finally be a police surgery in the Upper Gornal and Woodsetton area. It will take place at the Community Café at Bramford Primary School from 11.00 – 12.00 on Friday 10th January 2025.
A Big Thank You to… • All of the wonderful establishments that have allowed us to host our police surgeries – you give us a place to talk directly to our communities!
Look out for… • Police Surgeries • Christmas in the Village (Gornal) – Saturday 30th November from 16.30 – 19.00 • Sedgley Christmas Lights Switch On – Sunday 1st December from 16.00 – 19.00
When reporting a crime, does it feel like the situation could get heated or violent very soon? Is someone in immediate danger? Do you need support right away? If so, please call 999 now.
If you’ve witnessed or been the victim of crime that isn't an emergency, please report it to us by calling 101 or using our online form that can be found HERE.
Many thanks!
