Hello Resident,
Another week (or so) has gone by and your neighbourhood team has been hard at work in and amongst the community to keep you all safe! Here is a recap of what’s been going on. What's Been Happening? Since the start of our most recent set of shifts all of our officers have continued to keep your streets safe. Including executing a warrant in the early hours of Tuesday morning, as a result of fresh intelligence gathered from the community. As always, a refresh on how to access and report intelligence can be found here. Our PCSOs have been in and amongst the community, engaging in care homes and vulnerable agencies for events such as coffee mornings, and offering reassurance. We have also been working hard as a team to solve neighbourhood crime. This ranges from car theft to home burglaries, where we access CCTV from neighbours or agencies in order to identify the suspect, which then hopefully leads to a conviction. CCTV is very important in us catching criminals. If you don’t have any, we recommend investing (does not have to be expensive, simple ring doorbells are effective and often act as deterrents) More information in regards to CCTV, how to get it and how to use it, can be found here or by clicking the image below. A Big Thank-You to… Members of the local community, your local PCSOs have been attending local events for churches, coffee mornings for residential homes and foot patrols of West Park. All of the above resulted in much-needed community engagement, which we have been focussing on recently as we look to develop and build a bridge between the community and policing. Look Out For… The events in your local area as we near towards the end of the year, we as police community support officers try our best to attend as much as we can, so we can speak to you and hear about what has been going on, and what matters to YOU. The council offer a good insight into events that are going on around you. Follow this link for more information. As well as neighbourhood schemes such as Neighbourhood Watch, that allow you to care for your community and build close relations with neighbours. More information for can be found here. Next Week… We all begin our lead up to Christmas. Over the next few weeks, you will have a few extra messages consisting of some advice in order for you and your family to stay safe over the festive period. You may see a drop of messages now and again in-between these weekly round-ups, but if you need us urgently please continue to use 101, 999 in an emergency, or visit our website! Until then, thank you for your time reading! Please feel free to share this around, and we will be in touch!
Thank you, and stay safe! Gemma and Alex, Police Community Support Officers | ||||
