Hello Resident,
Another week (or so) has gone by and your neighbourhood team has been hard at work in and amongst the community to keep you all safe! Here is a recap of what’s been going on. This will be the last report of local events from us until the New Year, where there will be a recap of what has gone one over Christmas. But, until then we wish you all a very Merry Christmas for those who celebrate it, as well as a thank you for all your messages of encouragement and responses of what you want to hear from these updates! What's Been Happening? Local officers have been continuing to get involved within the community, with numerous events attended in the lead up to Christmas. A particular highlight which is a monthly event held at Beckminster Church – a coffee morning that was extremely well attended. As this is only once a month, it is a good chance to meet new people in the community and get involved. This occurs every third Saturday of every month – so we hope to see you there next month!
A Big Thank-You to… Members of the Lea Road Community Church, for inviting us along to their Community Drop in and Youth Club, which takes place every Tuesday and Wednesday. These gave us a chance to get involved with the community once more, we continue to make you aware of these events so you and your friends or family can get involved too, it would be great to meet as many as possible! A further thank you for continuing to report the issues that matter to you. We have continued to see and increase in crime reporting. Which results in further intelligence being gathered leading to officers off your local neighbourhood team conducting arrests. From recent intelligence reports, we are now aware of areas where crime takes place, and we are now conducting focussed patrols in order to act on this. So, you should see us out and about more and more, particularly over the coming weeks.
Look Out For… Yourselves and others over the festive period. On our website we have a number of “festive” advice against potential dangers of this time of the year. If you would like to, here is a link to some areas of the website that may be of interest – just to remind you and prepare for the coming weeks: Plenty more can be found here!
Next Week… Most of you will be enjoying some well-deserved time off over Christmas, but we as a force will still be responding to jobs and making sure you all stay safe over Christmas. Between this and the next weekly round-up, there will be some more crime advice in relation to the issues that may come as a result of the festive period, which offer a good insight into how to stay safe, both for yourself and others. But, as always, if you need us urgently please continue to use 101, 999 in an emergency, or visit our website! Until then, thank you for your time reading! Please feel free to share this around, and we will be in touch!
Thank you, and stay safe! Gemma and Alex, Police Community Support Officers | ||||
