Here’s a brief snippet of what myself and the Oldbury Neighbourhood Team have been up to this week:
What’s been happening
Officers have been patrolling the retail parks detecting and preventing crime reassuring the local businesses and members of public. No issues found or reported to the police whilst out on patrol. People enjoying their Christmas shopping.
Patrols of Hot Spot areas were conducted Due to having complaints of Anti-social Behaviour has been taking place no anti-social behaviour found, and no one was hanging around traffic lights at the island.
Officers came across a Cannabis set up where over 100 plants were found. These will be destroyed while investigation is ongoing.
Oldbury town PCSOs officers have this morning conducted a police surgery at Oldbury library alongside Street watch coordinator John Greenway. Thank you for the ones who gave up their time.
PCSOs have conducted the fifth session of junior PCSOs at St Francis Xavier Catholic primary school. Today's session was about how to be a good citizen.
Oldbury officers found a knife while out on patrol, it was then disposed of. A weapon surrender bin is a secure container where you can safely dispose of a knife, blade or other weapon. Once deposited in the bin the weapon will be removed by professionals and destroyed.
Oldbury neighbourhood officers have arrested a female for criminal damage X4 to vehicles.
PCs have arrested a male for breaching his court conditions.
PCSOs have been into a few of our local Primary schools, after being invited in joining them in the festive activities.
A big thanks to To our Primary schools for our invite The local retail shops. To the people who gave up their time to come to our police surgery. Please look out for up-and-coming dates for future surgeries.
