Your Weekly Bablake Update

Weekly Update from your local Bablake NPT

Dear Members

Here’s your weekly update from myself and the rest of the team.

What’s Been Happening

. Burglaries

There has only been one shed break in this week. Offenders prised off the lock and once inside, have stolen tools.

Sheds and garages do get targeted so ensure that you have a good strong lock on them.

. Vehicle Crime

A motorcycle was stolen from within a garage on Sadler Road.

As before, make sure you have good strong locks on any outbuildings.

A van was broken into at a local hotel and tools stolen.

You can mark all property with a UV marker making it easier for lost or stolen property to be returned should the worst happen. It is also a good idea to keep a record of where you marked the property and note down any serial numbers. You can register valuables at www.immobilise.com

. In other News

Two drugs warrants have been executed this week.

One led to an arrest of a male for Conspiracy to Produce Class B drugs.

At the other one, information was received linking other addresses to similar offences. Work to be done, and then more warrants to be executed.

Officers were threatened by a male with hammers while they were carrying out enquiries for an offence that had been reported. Just because you don’t like police, you cannot threaten them and tell them to leave the area.

Male arrested and charged with Possession of an Offensive Weapon Without Lawful Authority or Reasonable Excuse, then further arrested for Assault PC and Threats to Cause Criminal Damage to a Police Vehicle. Hat trick of offences for this person in one fell sweep!!

On a lighter note 😊

An Audi, BMW and a Ford seized this week for no tax. Three off the road until they are made road legal at an extra cost to the owners.

Your local officers are continuing patrols in areas that we know have issues. If you have any concerns about where you live, let us know.

Stay safe everyone.

If you have any information about crime in your area you can let us know 100% anonymously by contacting CRIMESTOPPERS 0800 555 111

Get involved.
Streetwatch is a community patrol initiative that helps you make a difference where you live. Street watch gives you and your community an opportunity to keep your area safe, including just walking round your neighbourhood, which can really help. Local police keep in regular contact with street watch members to share information and work in partnership with you.
If you are interested in taking part in a Streetwatch within the Babalake area you can contact the Holbrook, Radford, Sherbourne & Bablake team on holbrookandradford@westmidlands.police.uk
