Update from the Hall Green neighbourhood policing team

Dear Resident,

Here’s a quick round up from me and the rest of the Hall Green neighbourhood policing team.

What’s been happening

Road Traffic Operation. Officers have recently held a joint operation with our Road Harm Prevention team on Stratford Road at the Robin Hood Island. We took enforcement action on a number of vehicles for various offences including speeding, no insurance and illegal tints. We know speeding and the illegal use of vehicles if a major concern for the community so will be increasing operations in the area.

Warrants. Thanks to intelligence you have provided, officers from the team took part in a number of a warrants across the constituency last week where large quantities of class A drugs were recovered and suspects taken into custody. Please continue to provide intelligence to us directly or anonymously via Crimestoppers.

Hall Green Parade. Officers took enforcement action at the Parade this week and engaged with local residents and business owners. We will be continuing to work with our partners on a long-term solution to this persistent issue.

Future events

We are holding our February drop-in with officers on Wednesday 26th February between 6pm – 7:30pm at Highfield Hall. Please join us to raise any local issues of concerns. We had a great turnout at our last event and hope an evening drop-in will make this event more accessible to local residents.

We are also holding a crime prevention surgery on Monday 3rd March between 11am – 12:30pm at Aldi, Stratford Road. We will be giving out leaflets and crime prevention freebies so please come and see us!

All those who visited our mobile police station this week at various locations across the ward. We visited a total of 8 locations across Hall Green including Robin Hood Lane, Baldwins Lane and Yardley Wood train station. We have received some really positive feedback so will be planning to do this again in the near future.
