Dear Residents,
We are continuing to target criminals, illegal drivers, those involved in violence and anti-social behaviour in the Sparkbrook area!
Within our early shift’s officers have completed numerous arrest attempts for a variety of offences ranging from domestic violence to recall to prison.
Our PCSO’s have taken out our ‘mobile police station’ to various locations for an allocated period of time to be a visible presence for residents and the local community to come along and talk about any local issues, concerns or suggestions. Officers were also able to give out a variety of different crime prevention advice and items.
A grand total of three stolen vehicles were located, two cloned vehicles and a further five vehicles for a combination of no tax and no insurance. There have been numerous tickets issued for parked vehicles obstructing the highway and many more traffic offences!
We utilise X ‘formally known as Twitter’ to update followers on some of the work officers have been involved in. We have had lots of feedback to suggest that parking is a huge issue that runs throughout the local area; we have attended some local hot spots and concluded many untaxed vehicles are present on streets taking up space.
With the above been considered Team one focused on Turner Street, George Street and Tindal Street with a grand total of 26 vehicles seized. This was only possible with the help of our contracted recovery companies assisting at a fast pace! Once all of these vehicles were cleared there was much more space throughout the road; residents were very happy to see this take place. We understand that these are not the only roads effected by the above so to that effect we will be cracking down on surrounding roads in the coming weeks and months.
Did you know you can also contact us via our email: sparkbrook@westmidlands.police.uk please only use this email in non-emergency cases, this can be reporting issues/concerns you have or any intelligence you wish to inform us of. Otherwise, please utilise our 101 non-emergency line and 999 in emergencies.
Regards.
