St Peter's Park NHT Weekly Round-Up!

Hello Resident,

Another week (or so) has gone by and your neighbourhood team has been hard at work in and amongst the community to keep you all safe! Here is a recap of what’s been going on.

What's Been Happening?

Ongoing patrols are continuing from the wind-down from response to high-value incidents and offence locations. Patrols and stop-searches that have been in place have proved successful and have reduced the number of incidents, and boosted arrests in the area as well as some successful warrants that have resulted in substantial amounts of drugs, money and weapons being seized and off the streets.

Your local neighbourhood team have also been organising meetings with local residents to discuss local concerns and police strategy. If this is something you feel you and your neighbours could benefit from, please do reply to this email and we can arrange an informal meeting!

We have also had an input from our local dog unit! Who came to our police base and helped us with our targeted task of our high-offence areas in around Whitmore Reans and Graiseley, and successfully identified an offender ready for arrest!

A Big Thank-You to…

Community leaders, members and organisers for inviting us to local events, which we attended – including local coffee mornings, allowing us to engage with new members of the community who may not always have contact with the police. We continue to engage with young members in order to give them a positive impact of the police, rather than being seen in a more “negative” way that may lead to them being scared of us.

Overall, this engagement is good for both the police and the community, and we look forward to continuing this into the future.

Look Out For…

Our upcoming events! We have one planned at the Newhampton Arts Centre on Tuesday 25th February at 11:30am until 1:30pm!

We would love to see as many of you there as we can, so we can discuss any local issues you may have and would like to bring forward.

For any future events, these can be found here!

Next Week…

You may see a drop of messages now and again in-between these weekly round-ups, but if you need us urgently please continue to use 101, 999 in an emergency, or visit our website!

Until then, thank you for your time reading! Please feel free to share this around, and we will be in touch!

Thank you, and stay safe!

Gemma and Alex, Police Community Support Officers
