Dear resident

Hope you are all well and having a good start to your week.

Here’s a quick roundup from your local policing team of some of the work we have been doing over the couple of weeks in the Blakenall/Leamore/Birchills and Beechdale area.

  • The team took part in OP-Advance on the 26th Feb 2025- Op Advance returns to Walsall | West Midlands Police
  • PCSOs also conducted further patrols on the bus services in the area in partnership with bus inspectors from national express west Midlands.
  • PC’s from the team stopped and searched a male at Reedswood retail park- the male was found to be in possession of a knife and was subsequently arrested and taken into custody.
  • The team conducted a police surgery at Pembroke House Community room- Comwall Close in Leamore. Patrols were also conducted in the area of the Watmos estate, including the communal areas of the blocks of flats due to reports of drug taking and ASB.
  • Community meeting attended by PCSO 32190 Marica was also conducted on the afternoon of the 27th at Frank F Harrison Community Association Ltd Stephenson Square, Bloxwich, Walsall WS2 7DY
  •

    A big thank you-

The team say goodbye this week to Police Sergeant David Keasey who has since the 8th Jan 2024 led the local neighbourhood team. PS Keasey has worked for the West Midlands police for the last 22 years. He moves to Devon and Cornwall Police to take up the position of Inspector. We would like to express our sincere gratitude for all his work as our police sergeant- he will be very much missed by the team and WMP.

Taking up the role of Blakenall/Leamore/Birchills and Beechdale Sergant will be PS Liam Townill who joins the team from the response department.
