Community Crime Update: 16th March – 25th March 2025


 

Dear Residents of Penn and Merry Hill,

 

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support in helping to keep our communities safe. As part of our ongoing efforts to keep you informed, here’s a brief update on the recent crime activity for the period between 16th March and 25th March 2025.

 

Merry Hill Area Update:

Theft of a Motor Vehicle:

Date/Time: Between 17th March at 22:45 and 18th March at 07:55.

Details: A Land Rover Discovery was stolen from Fox Hills Road. The vehicle was recovered, but parts were taken from it. 

 

 

Interference with Motor Vehicle:

Date/Time: Between 16th March at 16:30 and 17th March at 08:30.

Details: A vehicle outside St. Joseph’s Court was broken into, with the window smashed and an untidy search conducted. However, nothing was stolen.

 

Theft from Shops and Stalls:

Date/Time: 18th March at 17:03

Details: A theft occurred at Johnson's Sweets and Balloons. Value of £30 of flowers 

 

Penn Area Update:
We are pleased to report that there have been no recorded crimes in the Penn area between 16th March and 25th March 2025. Our patrols will continue in the area, and we remain committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents.

 

Community Engagement:
We would also like to express our gratitude to the residents of Langley Court for their warm welcome at our Cuppa with a Coppa event on the 24th March 2025. It was a great opportunity to meet with you, listen to your concerns, and discuss any issues you may have.
