Delves neighbourhood team updates

Good evening Resident

Your Delves neighbourhood police team have been busy over the past few days dealing with Logs, calls to service, supporting our response teams when required. Looking for children who have gone missing, thankfully found and conducting Scene management supporting our officers in Willenhall.

We have had a BMW stolen last night Tuesday 01-04-2025 from Chuckery area and located and recovered today from Delves area.

Aquisitive crime in the Paddock and Delves neighbourhoods still remains very low, and the team would just like to say a huge thank you for your help and vigilance and helping to achieve this.

Officers held a police surgery at the Seed Hut Palfrey Park on Saturday and then attended an event at NASHDOM later that day joined by members of the community from Ukraine.

We have had a theft of number plates from a vehicle in Dale street Palfrey

We have had a attempt Burglary on a property in Lord street, Palfrey. No entry gained and offenders made a good escape.

Man charged with multiple shop thefts in Walsall

We've charged a man with two shop thefts, assaulting a police officer and possessing drugs following an arrest by Walsall town centre neighbourhood officers.

Officers from our Pleck and Delves neighbourhood team, responded quickly yesterday (Thurs) morning to arrest a man who had allegedly stolen goods from a shop on Broadway, Walsall.

Tobias Gladwin, aged 34, from West Bromwich, was charged and remanded to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court today (Fri) for a first hearing.

He has been charged with theft from a shop on 3 Feb and 20 March, possession of a controlled drug Class B on 20 March and common assault of an officer on 3 February.

He has also been previously charged with 27 shop theft offences across Walsall and the possession of a knife with his court case adjourned until 16 June at Dudley Crown Court.

Our neighbourhood teams and Problem Solving Team have been working hard to apprehend people who carry out shop thefts.

We know the frustration and impact of shop thefts on businesses, and we're running Op Marigold as part of our drive to combat retail crime

The above was a great result for the team, frustration, persistence and as always an element of luck paid off after this offender was caught after persistently targeting a business on our beat.
