Burglary - SOMERSET ROAD, COVENTRY, CV1 4EG

Your neighbourhood team have been busy this week with the following.

Investigating multiple crimes across the city from theft from a person, burglary, shop theft and theft from motor vehicle. 

Joint operation with the ANPR (automatic number plate recognition) team with vehicles fitted with ANPR technology. 3 vehicles were seized 

PCSOs have been out conducting a Speedwatch

Citroen displaying Bulgarian number plates however the vehicle was a British registered vehicle. The owner had put different number plates on the vehicle in an attempt to hide the vehicles true identity. Further checks on the vehicle using the vehicles VIN number showed that the vehicle had no Tax, no MOT and no Insurance. Vehicle seized. A Grey BMW on cloned plates in Radford again the true car had no TAX, MOT or insurance.

Our officers have also been out this week on proactive arrest attempts for outstanding offenders for offences within our wards.

Two males were arrested for their parts in a shoplifting offence worth £350. The two males were located at separate addresses and arrested by the officers. The males have been charged and will appear in court.

Another male was arrested for a theft offence from a person. The male who stole a wallet from a member of the public was arrested, interviewed and charged with the offence. PCSOs attended the location and located the wallet.
