Coventry man admits indecent exposure and sexual assault in city park

Dear Resident,

A Coventry man has been convicted of indecent exposure and sexual assault following an incident in the city this week.

Ranjit Sadra appeared before magistrates yesterday (24 April) where he pleaded guilty to the charges.

The 45-year-old approached a woman in War Memorial Park in Cheylesmore, exposed himself and then undressed while other members of the public were nearby, including young children.

He also touched another woman inappropriately elsewhere in the park.

Officers were called to the park where they arrested Sadra and charged him with indecent exposure and sexual assault.

At his hearing today, Sadra pleaded guilty and was remanded in custody before his sentencing at Coventry Crown Court on 22 May.
