This week in Stoke & Wyken.

Dear Residents and Local Businesses,

This week, officers will concentrate their efforts on tackling retail crime and addressing parking issues within the community, especially in the vicinity of local schools. In addition, they will implement speed watch initiatives aimed at reducing instances of speeding in the area.

Arrests

Officers from Stoke and Wyken will be actively pursuing any local criminals with outstanding arrest warrants. Please be aware that if there is a warrant for an arrest, our officers will ensure a apprehension.

Operation Chino

Officers and PCSOs in Coventry will be carrying out 'Op Chino' which will see teams focus on issues that we know have a negative impact on our communities, alongside their normal duties.

The day of neighborhood activity includes operations targeting anti-social behavior on public transport, focusing on some routes which have seen an increase in anti-social behavior recently.

There will also be additional patrols in parks and areas that have seen a recent increase in anti-social behavior and a focus on issues such as problem parking in residential areas.

Other information

PCSOs have already started the week off fast visiting one of our local food banks on stoke heath, they’ll also be taking part in a streetwatch group later this week as well as working with parking wardens to tackle dangerous parking outside Wyken Croft School for pick up and drop off time these activities will run along side normal duties.

We are also seeking public assistance for our Community Speedwatch program. Volunteers will receive training to operate a basic speed laser. Following a risk assessment of a road, they will monitor vehicle speeds with Officers and those exceeding the limits will receive letters addressing their driving behavior.

We are only able to have a maximum of five members of the community at one time when undertaking a Community Speedwatch Operation however we can arrange as many as possible that you may want! So please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Please feel free to send us a message via WMnow for more information regarding this.
