Longford Updates

Dear Residents and Local Businesses,

Here is your weekly update from your local neighbourhood Policing Team, to let you know some of what we've been busy dealing with:

PATROLS

Officers have been carrying out patrols of the Longford areas on foot and in vehicles. We have been paying particular attention to locations that have recently experienced an increase in crime.

ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR

We are receiving several reports of anti-social behaviour in and around Dovedale Avenue. We have identified some of the people involved and are taking action against them in partnership with local housing providers in due course.

VEHICLE CRIME

We have had a report of a motorbike stolen from Pearson Avenue on 01/05/2025 between 04:12-04:25. We are currently investigating this incident, but if residents have any further information on this incident to contact us on 101 and quote reference 20/225760/25.

STREETWATCH

We are looking for volunteers to get involved in a local Streetwatch group within the Longford and Bell Green areas - if you would like more information or if you're interested in joining, please contact Streetwatch@westmidlands.police.uk with your name, telephone number and postcode.

SPEEDWATCH

We are looking at future locations to hold a Speedwatch - we currently have Grange Road, Roseberry Avenue, Eburne Road, Proffitt Avenue and Shilton Lane identified and will be conducting a Speedwatch in these areas very soon.

OTHER INFORMATION

If you have information about people committing crime that you want to tell us about, you can contact us on the non-emergency telephone number 101 or by visiting us online at Home | West Midlands Police (west-midlands.police.uk) where you will find access to the LIVE CHAT facility. Alternatively you can contact the CRIMESTOPPERS charity anonymously by calling 0800 555 111. This is a free phone number. CRIMESTOPPERS can also be contacted online here: Independent UK charity taking crime information anonymously | Crimestoppers (crimestoppers-uk.org)

Please do not report crime via WMnow because it is not always monitored.

Kind Regards,

The Henley & Longford Neighbourhood Policing Team
