 There has been a recent increase in BMW vehicles being stolen in the Shirley and Solihull area. PLEASE CONSIDER INSTALLING A STEERING WHEEL LOCK ON YOUR VEHICLE. This is a physical deterrent that can stop offenders from stealing your vehicle. Car alarms, immobilisers and trackers are also worth investing in. Good quality CCTV equipment covering your driveway is also a deterrent and can give officers valuable footage to assist with apprehending thieves.

Officers from your local neighbourhood Policing Team will be conducting high visibility patrols in the area in a bid to prevent further offences and try to catch offenders. Officers are also hard at work investigating these offences.
