Hello everyone, I hope you are all doing well, and have had an amazing week. We would like to update you on what we have been doing in the Bartley Green area this week: . We have interacted with members of the public such as yourselves, by doing a door to door enquiry to find and gather information on a recent serious incident that has taken place in the area. Do not worry the victim has been found and the suspect has been arrested. . We have conducted high visibility foot patrols around Bartley Green community. During these patrols, we have liaised with members of the public offering advice and reassurance and have listened to their concerns. . A prolific vehicle offender has also been arrested and sent back to prison this week, following targeting various vehicles in the early hours of the night. This is all because of your help, as you were able to ring us up, and alert us to what is going on in the community helping us to action local issues. . We have also sent out a message requesting information about another vehicle offender going around the Bartley green area late at night and throughout the early hours of the day. Thank you to all those who replied, enquiries are still on going. Like stated previously, we have seen a rise of calls involving a male trying car doors or entering your vehicles. We encourage you to make sure anything of value has already been taken out of your car as to prevent becoming a victim of crime. Please also ensure your vehicle/s is locked and secure when not in use. We also encourage you to install a Disc lock on your steering wheel or a gear stick and handbrake lock as an extra prevention method to keep your car safe. We still encourge residents to register their home/business CCTV and doorbell cameras, as this helps us solve crimes by providing us the appropriate footage what captures the crime in question. This not only helps us solves crimes, but it also helps to keep your community safer. We are still experiencing an increase of demand from across the area over the last few weeks, with more people calling and asking for help. Our staff are working extremely hard to answer and respond to your calls and live chats. But due to the high demand it can cause callers to have to wait longer than they should, what if something neither of us want at all. We prioritize your enquires/calls based on how urgent they are, but we always appreciate that you want help as soon as possible. In Non-emergencies circumstances, we want you to get in contact with us through the live web chat, or the Non-emergency telephone 101. If your circumstances are emergencies, then please call 999. We are still looking to recruit for the Street watch initiative. For further information please visit the WMP website for details. Bartley Green Neighbourhood Team. | ||||
