 There has been a recent increase in vehicles being stolen in the Shirley and Solihull area. PLEASE CONSIDER INSTALLING A STEERING WHEEL LOCK ON YOUR VEHICLE. This is a physical deterrent that can stop offenders from stealing your vehicle. Car alarms, immobilisers and trackers are also worth investing in. Good quality CCTV equipment covering your driveway is also a deterrent and can give officers valuable footage to assist with apprehending thieves. Also make sure that prior to walking away from your parked vehicle, that it is locked.

Officers from your local neighbourhood Policing Team will be conducting high visibility patrols in the area in a bid to prevent further offences and try to catch offenders. Officers are also hard at work investigating these offences.
