Over the last few days, your local police have:

.  Attended a Crime Prevention & Scams Awareness table at Wednesfield High Street, listening to any Community concerns raised and offering support and advice.

.  Wednesfield Neighbourhood Officers, alongside colleagues from the Guardian Task Force, attended Bentley Bridge after concerned staff alerted police to a male brandishing a knife on the retail park.

Officers were on scene in minutes and the male was swiftly detained and arrested..

A big thank you to staff from JD Sports and site security who acted calmly and quickly to the situation.

.  As part of Operation Scepture, a week of focusing on tackling knife crime, our officers have patrolled local park areas and canal network conducting knife sweeps.

.  We have continued our targeted ASB patrols at key locations including Bentley Bridge and Crossways at Heath Town.

.  Our PCSOs responded to reports of ASB and nuisance behaviour towards residents of one of our local housing estates. 

They will be liaising with local nearby schools to educate and deal with individuals identified.

This behaviour will not be tolerated and we will continue our efforts alongside our partner agencies to deal with the matter appropriately.

. And of course “business as usual” for our officers where we have responded to any reports of crime, suspicious behaviour, ASB etc, .. Being in the community and for the community.
