Burglary – There has been no reported residential burglaries between 08/06/2025 - 16/06/2025

 

Business Burglary - There has been 1 reported business burglary between 08/06/2025 - 16/06/2025

 

Offender has gained entry to a shop on the Chester Road in an attempt to steal the safe. Nothing stolen.  
 
Theft of motor vehicle – There have been 1 report of theft of motor vehicle between 08/06/2025 - 16/06/2025. 

 

Victim on Green Lane had noticed that their vehicle had been parked differently on their drive and an untidy search had been carried out of the vehicle. Neighbours have reported seeing on their CCTV two unknown males have driven off in the car before returning it at approximately 1.30 on 11/06/2025. 
 
Theft from motor vehicle – There have been no reports of theft from motor vehicle between 08/06/2025 - 16/06/2025.

 

Robbery of a person - On the 09/06/2025 the victim was cycling on Birmingham Road, near to Castle Bromwich Hall Hotel, where they were approached by offender and pushbike was stolen. 

 

Interference with a motor vehicle - There has been no reports between 08/06/2025 - 16/06/2025


What’s been happening? Good news  

 

PCSO Took has been on foot patrol in the area around Birmingham Road, pathway by Newport Island and Kingsleigh Drive following the report of the robbery. We will continue to patrol this area over the next few weeks.  

 

The team have carried out 11 arrests this week for the following offences:

 

Juvenile offender for a knife point robbery

Adult offender for domestic harassment and bail offences

Adult offender for DV stalking

Three adults for Shop lifting

Adult for Recall to Prison

Two adults for Fail to appear offences

One adult Breach of a court order

One adult Breach of court Bail 

 

We look forward to welcoming two new Police Community Support Officers to The Smiths Wood Neighbourhood Team starting on 23rd June 2025.
