Weekly Round-up!

Good Evening Resident,

Once again I'm here with a round-up of this weeks action from your Wolverhampton Neighbourhood Policing Team.

Whats Been Happening.

Arrests - This week I'm happy to say that 6 arrests in total were made by officers for outstanding city centre warrants and other incidents going on around Wolverhampton city centre. Some of these arrests related to an incident of domestic violence, an assault and bladed articles. Thankfully once again due to the speed in which our officers act, the individual who was arrested for possession of a bladed article was brought in with no danger to the public and given the help that they needed.

Community Protection - A Community Protection Warning and subsequently a Community Protection Notice was served to an individual on the city centre this weekend over the space of just 2 days due to a sharp increase in their behaviour which we deemed to be highly inappropriate.

Community Engagement - Our Police Community Support Officers did their part this week patrolling our city centre, having a chat with the public and going from business to business enquiring about any issues they are currently having.

Guardian Patrols - As always we are continuing our patrols targeting Anti-Social Behaviour and Violent Crime. These are patrols we carry out multiple times a week, with a positive result on the community. This week targeting St.Peters Gardens, Queen Square, Market Square, Sainsburys and Dudley Street.

Night-Time Economy - No NTE for my team this week with our shifts focusing on early morning patrols throughout the weekend.

Wolverhampton Extreme Wheels Weekender - Wolverhampton's Market Square was transformed into an action-packed arena as an extreme sports event got under way.

Professional riders and skateboarders were already showcasing their skills as the Extreme Wheels Weekender was launched into action on Saturday morning.

Across the two-day event, BMX pros Gary Spencer and Callum Rafferty, along with scooter rider Tom Nieb, demonstrated various stunts.

With the sun shining and a fun atmosphere it sounded like everyone has a fantastic time!

Neighbourhood Policing - Coming Soon, West Midlands Police Neighbourhood Week of Action is a community‑focused, results‑driven push within a defined neighbourhood aimed at swiftly addressing pressing local priorities, enhancing visible policing, and building ties with residents. It's a proactive strategy intended to both solve immediate problems and strengthen long‑term trust.

What to Watch - It seems like once again we are having a surge of Theft of Motor Vehicles around the city, please when parking your vehicle can you make sure you leave no valuables on  display, park in a secure location or somewhere covered by CCTV and finally, use a steering lock for your vehicle.

We have also had reports that the illegal street traders may be making their way back into the city centre, please do not purchase anything off of individuals on the street who are selling products out of carrier bags. Also purchase goods from reputable retailers.

  • A Fond Farewell

This week was an emotional one for our neighbourhood teams as we bid farewell to a much loved PCSO within the city centre. PCSO Paskin after 30 years has finally decided to hang up his boots and move on to new ventures. Paskin started as a Traffic Warden and moved into West Midlands Police when the Wardens went private. He became part of the furniture within the City Centre teams and many tears were shed by a few of our officers when he announced his last day. On behalf of all the staff here at Wolverhampton Central Police Station i would like to say, Thank you for serving the community of Wolverhampton and we wish you all the best. Thanks PCSO 30179, we'll miss you!

Thanks for reading and i hope you enjoy the rest of your week.

Please share this on Social Media and continue to look out for further updates from the team on our X (formerly twitter) page @WolvesPolice
