Team round up news

Dear resident

Hope you are all well and having a good start to your week.

Here’s a quick roundup from your local policing team of some of the work we have been doing over the couple of weeks in the Blakenall/Leamore/Birchills and Beechdale area.

  • The team have been out in the Shearwater Road area of Blakenall with Community Protection officers from Walsall Council. Information has been posted out to residents in regards to how to report matters of anti-social behaviour. We also posted information regarding off road bikes.
  • The team have worked alongside the neighbourhood team from Bloxwich in regards to concerns raised in relation to parking around Rivers Primary Academy. The school, Council and police are currently working together in seeking a long-term resolution to this matter.
  • Patrols have been conducted in the WHATELEY AVENUE area of Coalpool after reports had been raised in relation to youths throwing stones and footballs at the flats. The team have been in contact with Walsall Housing Group in relation to this matter and will be conducting joint visits to the location.
  • Patrols have been conducted in the Webster Road and Coalpool Lane area.
  • Patrols in response to cars and groups loitering by the park entrance on Reedswood Lane, Birchills.
  • An e-scooter was also taken from a group of youths causing issues in one of the local supermarkets. E-scooters are currently illegal to use unless it is private land and permission from the landowner has been granted. Further information can be found by following the below link.
