Hello everyone,

I hope this message finds you well. As we move through October, I wanted to share a quick round-up of what’s been happening across our local area, what’s coming up, and how we’re working together to keep our community safe and thriving.

🔍 Local Priorities

Our current focus areas include:

Speeding across all wards

Theft from new build developments

Retail thefts

We’re continuing patrols and speed watches. We are gathering information regarding thefts at new build sites and we are continuing to gather the evidence required to identify and arrest retail theft offenders.

🤝 Partnership Working

We’ve met with:

Citizen housing to discuss current tenancy issues

These collaborations help us to understand issues that tenants are facing and it allows us to work together to find a solution.

🗞️ Round-Up from All Wards

Here’s a snapshot of key updates across our patch:

Bablake – PCSO Abbott has been linking in with new build developers to discuss the issue of thefts on their new build sites.

Holbrook – The team have been finding and recovering stolen vehicles. They have also seized a number of vehicles for being driven without insurance and without a driving licence.

Sherbourne – The team have conducted ASB patrols around the Coundon Social Club due to use of nitrox canisters. They’ve also completed ASB patrols at the Alvis Retail Park.

Radford – The team stopped a drink driver who was also found in possession of a knife and they’ve conducted multiple stop searches of people which has led to drugs being seized.
