Weekly round-up from your local St Matt's neighbourhood team. |

Hello All
✅ Good News from Your Local Policing Team ✅ We as a neighbourhood team and as well as help from other partnership agencies were able to execute warrants, combat retail crime, target dangerous drivers and tackle anti-social behaviour. Later on in the day, we were then able to target organised and violent crime, road safety and business crime. Extra police resources were put in place across the borough during the day of intensified activity for the operation, therefore allowing us to deliver 24 hours of intensive policing. During this operation we also had the opportunity to engage with members of public which allowed them to express their concerns, in response we were able to offer the reassurance. This operation was successful and was able to tackle the issues along the lines of violent crime with our Knife Arch that was set up in Boss Man Ally in Walsall Town Centre. This was due to members of public who raised concerns regarding knife crime, so we took into account what You said, so we did!
Not only that Officers from St Matt's also held a community engagement event in The Hub, St Paul's Bus Station which focused on Darker Nights and how to stay safe during them. Many members of the public came up to our officers and engaged in communication about the topic which allowed the officers to advise members of public about the matter and what they can do to stay safe. 📅 Upcoming Police & Community Engagements 📅
2. Event Name: Community speed watches for St Matt's 🚨 Crime & Safety Updates — What You Need to Know 🚨
🔎 Recent Incidents/Trends: Police Response: Police have been increasing police presence in this area and have conducted patrols at the times that have been mentioned to be the peak times.
✅ Crime Prevention Tips: As the clocks go back the nights have gotten longer, as well as the community event we held, we would also like to advise to keep doors and windows locked at night, to also be alert to your surrounding if you find yourself out in darker hours of the day. We also highly recommend to avoid poorly lit areas e.g. alley ways; instead to travel along well lit paths as light is a deterrent to crime.
