Dear Residents, Here’s a brief snippet of what our Smethwick Neighbourhood Team have been up to this week: What’s been happening Our local neighbourhood team Officers have been conducting heightened burglary patrols on the run up to Christmas, keeping our local area safe and reassured.Smethwick town Officers have arrested a male who has is a prolific offender for theft of parcels which had been left outside of people’s front doors. This male has been charged and remanded in custody to appear at court. Smethwick town officers have arrested 2 people from a vehicle for immigration offences the driver of the vehicle has been reported to court for any driving offences.Local patrols of high streets and visiting local businesses in Smethwick have been taken place reassurances have been offered we will be working on short-term and long-term goals to make our streets safe for the public.Smethwick town officers have conducted two knife sweeps in two parks in Smethwick reassuring our local communities who attend the parks and the wider communities. Smethwick PCSO’s have conducted a street watch walk in St Pauls with our streetwalkers identifying issues in the area and doing our very best to rectify by offering words of advice to locals in the area and how to keep our area safe and secure for all.Local PCSO’s cells have conducted a knife crime talk to see life venture cadets at our Brasshouse community centreSmethwick town PCSO’s conducted a conversation with the boy brigade at Warley Methodist Church Bearwood about knife crime and what the police do to keep them safe. |
