Dear Residents, PCSO Petrosino here with a quick round up from me and the rest of the Hillfield’s neighbourhood policing team. What`s been happening: We have conducted high visible patrols around your neighbourhood, aiming at the hotspots for anti-social behaviour. We have conducted meetings; leaflet drops and joint patrols and parking enforcement. COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: Your local Neighbourhood team have been out and about engaging in the community. This week we have visited many local shops in Hillfields to engage around any current issues, give out crime prevention advice and pass over direct contact details. This has given us the opportunity to get a clear picture on what is happening around shops in Hillfields. We have conducted two joint patrols with the Local Parking Enforcement authority at Fredrick Bird School and the nearby streets. We have observed a lot of dangerous parking, and have been proactive around moving them on or preventing parking on the residential streets. Please remember, when dropping off and picking up your children, to park legally and fairly so as not to disrupt local residents. ARRESTS: This week your local officers made some great arrests this set. Altogether there were 3 arrests made regarding known offenders causing issues within the local neighbourhood this week. OTHER HIGHLIGHTS OF THE WEEK: This week we have had 4 stop and searches in your local neighbourhood. These are a great way to disrupt anti-social behaviour in your area. During the parking enforcement patrols, officers have seized a vehicle due to no insurance, with the driver also being reported for driving without a licence. Officers have acted upon information from residents of King Edward St about Anti-social behaviour in a nearby alley and seized a container of cannabis and drug paraphernalia. We will continue to disrupt illegal activities like this in the area. GREAT NEWS: Your local neighbourhood team are looking a setting up a Street watch in Hillfields.
