Burglary reported in Bishops Road, Sutton Coldfield. |
||
|
Dear Resident What has happened? Between 2am and 6.30am on Thursday the 1st of January 2026 unknown offenders gained access to the rear of a property in Bishops Road, Sutton Coldfield. They then snapped the lock to a rear door to gain entry to the property. A tidy search was conducted during which the keys to a silver Mercedes motor vehicle were taken. The offenders then used the keys to steal the vehicle which was parked at the property. What are we doing? Officers have conducted enquires. The vehicle was found in the Monmouth Drive area of Sutton Coldfield. A forensic examination will be conducted to look for any evidence that may help identify the offenders. What can you do? Please ensure all access points to the rear of your property are secure. If you leave your property and are out during the hours of darkness consider the use of a timer switch , or App system to turn lights on , this helps to give the impression the property is occupied. We recommend the use of Anti snap locks on all entry doors. More information on these locks can be found by visiting www.locksmiths.co.uk More crime prevention advice can be found by visiting www.westmidlands.police.uk / crime prevention.
