Elmdon update

Good evening,

Crime update:

I am very happy to report that we have had no reported burglaries or car thefts since our last WMnow message. As a team we are still taking proactive steps to prevent such issues in Elmdon. I would also like to thank our StreetWatch groups who I feel help us in deterring this type of criminality 

Good News:

The team have helped make two arrests for street robbery after two offenders have been identified following a violent attack on two young men in Solihull. This was done with the assistance of our response colleagues. The offenders were locked up and have been bailed at Court following enquires.

An illegal electric scooter involved in anti-social driving has been seized by the team ensuring that the roads in Solihull are a little bit safer.

The team worked closely with the forces Drone team in tackling burglary this week using the eye in the sky to tackle offenders. This has formed part of our routine proactive patrols.

StreetWatch

We are looking for new members to join our StreetWatch groups. Elmdon has two groups one is based around Elmdon Park the other is based around Damson Lane.

As a StreetWatch member, you will patrol your local area for at least two hours every month, at times which suit you. You will patrol with a minimum of two members, talk to people you meet and encourage them to take an active interest in keeping your area safe.

The patrols help to stop crime and anti-social behaviour. They also help people in the area get to know each other.
