St Matthew's Policing Updates |
Hello All 😊   ✅ Good News from Your Local Policing Team ✅ St Matthew’s neighbourhood team, we have been very proactive within your local area. The team have conducted a crime prevention pop up at The Hub, in Walsall Bus Station. Members of the public were able to drop in discuss and issues that concern them in their community and receive advice and guidance to help them deal with the issues appropriately. Local officers have also worked alongside Walsall council, other partners and Councillor Nawaz, discussing with residents what their concerns are for the area. We have has also maintained a high presence within the town centre, engaging with members of the public on our patrols.
St Matthew’s neighbourhood team have also been tackling retail crime, having made several arrests relating to shoplifting. Some of the team have been out and about with Greensquare Accord support staff. Working in partnership with the support staff, we visited properties and locations across Caldmore where issues such as Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB), and neighbourhood issues have been problematic within the different Greensquare Accord projects and the wider community around them. During this particular patrol there were no issues that arose, but residents who we spoke with were pleased to see the team and the Greensquare Accord officers out and about in their community. These visits are based on intelligence that is received from those people living in the communities that are affected.
