Hello, a quick round up from some of the work Foleshill officers have completed this week,
There has been a high volume of shop thefts from our retail parks around the city, with this is mind officers have been out in plain clothes visiting the retail parks, officers visited the businesses and spoke with staff to make them aware of their presence, over the course of the time officers were there, three shop thefts were prevented. One male was arrested for shoplifting offences, enquiries into this are ongoing.
We have also had plain clothes officers patrolling our parks and green spaces, this is after concerns over ASB and other issues affecting the community. Over the weekend three arrests were made by our officers for various offences.
On other occasions Community officers held a crime prevention stall and were speaking to shoppers and residents. Finding out what matters most to you. They were also giving out crime prevention items including door and window alarms. Stickers for vans carrying tools and signal blocking pouches.
After listening to resident’s concerns officers teamed up with the Coventry City enforcement officers to complete targeted patrols the worst affected areas. Streets visited were Stoney Stanton Road, Foleshill Road and cross road area. Some motorists were given words of advice and many other were ticketed. Our last shop was Churchill Avenue, here the major problem is ‘double parking’ this is not safe and must not be done. Vehicles were ticketed along this road.
A big thank you!
Thank you all for replying to last week’s message with issues you wished to report, they will all be taken on board and The Foleshill Team will be patrolling areas reported in the following weeks.
