Weekly update from the South Yardley Neighbourhood policing team |
||
|
Dear Members, Here’s a quick round up from the South Yardley neighbourhood policing team. Another busy week for our team with various commitments, incidents and community meetings. We have recently attended a community meeting involving housing and key partners of the concerns and issues in the area. We were able to share any ongoing concerns and what we are doing to tackle those issues and the work we are doing in the background. We will continue to work with our key partners as we know we can not do this alone. Alongside this, we have been conducting visits with housing and the community safety teams that houses multiple occupants. This is a continuing piece of work and we will do all we can to support our partners and understand the community concerns they are facing. If you are seeing or having regular ASB involving multiple occupant homes please report this to the relevant parties so these can be addresses. There have been seizing various vehicles around Berkeley Road and surrounding for no Tax or being stolen. 11 tickets have been issued to those failing to park correctly and being inconsiderate to other road users, business and residents around the area. We are aware of Anti-social behaviour peeking in the Swan Shopping Centre and surrounding areas and we are doing everything we can to tackle this and positively engage with those conducting this behaviour. The DNOs have been on patrol with the Street Intervention Officers this week and we are aiming to do more of these patrols in the area. This weekend will host a big event for our community within the area for the holy month of Ramadan and we are wishing our community Eid Mubarak. We hope everyone has a wonderful time celebrating with family and friend. Officers will be around to support and ensure everyone’s safety, come and say Hello!
