Dear Resident,
✅ Good News from Your Local Policing Team ✅ This week we have been busy tackling the issues around off road bikes The Stockland Green team have been working with our colleagues from the Sutton Trinity team. We have executed two warrants at addresses in the Erdington sector where we believe stolen bikes were being kept and used for crime. This saw us seize a moped, and electric high-powered off-road bike and an electric assisted pedal cycle. One person was arrested and bailed for on-going enquiries.
A vehicle which had been stolen last month in the West Birmingham area has also been recovered by the team. The suspicious vehicle was seen parked up bearing false registration plates. The vehicle would likely have been used for criminal activity.
The team have been patrolling around the Brookvale area that have been highlighted as ASB hot spots causing concern for residents. Some people have been spoken to and advised of the behaviour and the impact it can have on the residents. Patrols will continue to monitor the issue.
During our patrols, officers have also conducted stop and searches on a female where a small quantity of cannabis was located. This was dealt with via an out of court disposal through a diversionary course, offering education around drug use. Drug dealing remains a priority for us and our team continue to build an intelligence picture around this to disrupt offenders and bring them to justice.
Our PCSO's have been interacting with community groups on Marsh Hill allotments with Marsh Hill primary school and Forest Schools and at the Eco Hub, Witton Lakes. Discussions around personal safety and crime prevention and discussions with groups including cycle group ‘Back in the Saddle’ and ‘Learn to ride’. 📅 Upcoming Police & Community Engagements 📅
