What have the team been up to this week:
The team whilst on patrol came across a vehicle notified off the road since January 2026. Vehicle has been seized by officers due to being on the road. Over the last week eight vehicles have been seized. A Mitsubishi was spotted at an address by officers as it clearly had two registration plates on the back. It turned out to be on false plates and had been stolen in February. Four mopeds were found in Woodland in Castle Bromwich after a group with them ran off. The vehicles are suspected to be involved in local robberies so luckily their clothes and weapons that were left have been seized for forensics. Two cars were seized for no tax. One the vehicles was seized following failing to stop for officers and decamping into Woodland in the Kingshurst area. With these seizures, we have prevented further offences and have opened lines of enquiries to identify those involved in vehicle and other crime. Most of the team have had to help on a scene for the last couple of days in the Chelmsley Wood area but have tried to keep on top of our day-to-day work as much as possible.
