Dear Resident,
This week has been a good week for arrests by officers on the team. At the start of the week one of our officers was involved in the arrest of a male for high value theft. The male had been involved in the theft of high value Rolex watches from the London area. Among those others arrested were several shoplifters who have been hitting stores on our areas. One of the shoplifters, a female who had stolen meat from a local supermarket was arrested on Thursday by officers who attended the store. The other was a female who had been part of a group who had been stealing tools from a hardware store on multiple occasions. Officers have also conducted several arrest attempts for other offenders, attending addresses associated with the wanted people. As part of these arrest attempts a female was arrested as she was wanted for a section 18 wounding. On Monday officers arrested a male for theft by finding after tracking a stolen phone. The male had found a mobile phone which he has then tried to sell before going back to their home address. The officers were able to obtain CCTV from the store and then attend the address where male was identified and arrested. On Friday officers stopped a vehicle due to the manner of driving, and it transpired that the driver was under the influence of drugs. The driver was arrested and the vehicle was also seized for having no tax. As part of the easter holidays we have been conducting patrols relating to reports of antisocial behaviour (ASB). We often receive an increase in reports ASB around school holidays.
