Three males arrested in Lozells

Good news update -

Three men have been arrested after our Guardian Taskforce recovered an axe and a machete in Lozells.

Our Guardian Taskforce were patrolling around Lozells yesterday (Tuesday), where they spotted three men acting suspiciously on Lozells Road. Following a short foot chase, three men were detained. Three men, aged 22, 23, and 24, were arrested on suspicion of offensive weapons, and possession of drugs with intent to supply.

All three remain in custody for questioning.

Following searches carried out by the Guardian team, officers recovered an axe, a machete.

Project Guardian is a specialist taskforce which tackles knife crime and youth violence.

There is particular emphasis on reducing knife crime through a range of tactics from plain-clothed operations to high visibility patrols and positive engagement with young people.
