Hello Resident
Tackling illegal off road bikers
As of April 2026, West Midlands Police (WMP) has significantly intensified its crackdown on illegal off-road bikers in through a combination of high-tech surveillance and specialised tactical units.
Current Enforcement & Operations
Local Focus Areas (April 2026) Weddell Wynd , where officers have been distributing leaflets on how to report nuisance riders. : Designated as a top priority for 2026 to combat large groups of bikers causing anti-social behaviour at weekends. : Ongoing monitoring of "souped-up" e-bikes and off-roaders used for dangerous riding.
With spring looking like it's on its way our teams in Wolverhampton are geared up to stop the nuisance caused by off-road bike riders in their tracks. The neighbourhood teams in Wolverhampton know that the longer days can attract more people riding off-roaders where they shouldn't be and in ways that are not only disruptive but can also be dangerous. So the teams are out on regular patrols in those hotspot areas where we know there’s been issues before.
