Dear Residents, PCSO Gilkes here this is a quick round up from me and the rest of the Hillfield’s neighbourhood policing team. What`s been happening: We have conducted high visible patrols around your neighbourhood, aiming at the hotspots for anti-social behaviour. We have conducted joint visits, Cuppa with Coppa events and completing vehicle checks. COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: Your local Neighbourhood team have been out and about engaging in the community. This week we have been conducting joint visits with housing associations to properties that are experiencing issues. We aim to work together to resolve the issues and issue warnings to the ones causing issues. We have completed Cuppa With Coppa events this week. It was nice to meet new residents and introduce ourselves. These are a great way to discuss any issues you are facing or pass any information over to the police that you have. We have been receiving several reports around vehicles with no TAX and the way people are parking their cars. We have been issuing more ‘Don’t plonk it Park it’ notices to those that are parked causing an issue. We have been checking vehicles to make sure they are taxed, MOT and got insurance. ARRESTS: This week your local officers made some great arrests this set. Altogether there were 6 arrests made regarding known offenders causing issues within the local neighbourhood this week. OTHER HIGHLIGHTS OF THE WEEK: Officers have been out completing patrols in hotspot locations and conducting stop and searches. Be mindful where you are parking your cars in your local area to prevent causing obstruction to other road users. GREAT NEWS: Your local neighbourhood team are looking a setting up a Street watch in Hillfields. Street Watch Team is a community patrol initiative that helps you make a difference where you live. Street watch gives you and your community an opportunity to keep your area safe. Our website has more information and how to get involved www.west-midlands.police.uk has or contact streetwatch@westmidlands.police.uk
