Our Priorities

Anti-social behaviour, shop theft and drugs around the Longbridge retail and South & City College area. Concerns highlighted to local officers and from call data received to WMP with incidents to this locality.

What’s Been Happening?

This has been a very hot week for the neighbourhood team out and about within the area!

We have been focusing our patrols within the shopping areas, open spaces and parks due to the great weather attracting more people and with all the schools off for half term.

We continue to work with our partner agencies to conduct joint housing visits to engage with and advise residents in locations with reports of Anti-Social Behaviour occurring. 

We had Op Advance this week which saw Officers join us from East Birmingham creating a concentrated presence within Longbridge Retail Park, and all along the River Rea Route into Arden Road Shops. Stop and searches were conducted and an arrest was made after a male who was wanted for a shop theft offence was spotted by officers on patrol and stopped. 

We have continued to support our colleagues with reassurance visits and patrols within the Northfield area.
